Pinkalicious Invite

Here is the picture we are using for the Pinkalicious invite for Maggie's 3rd (wow!) birthday party. We had to take more than one hundred pictures to get one that would work because this kid does not stop moving!!

And, of course, her daddy had to use his new lens to take the picture, so here is one of the funnier pictures that he took.

More topiary

Here's a picture of the topiary halfway done. I ran out of pins though, so I'm going to have to run to Hobby Lobby to get more tomorrow :)

Preparing for pinkalicious party

I've started preparing for Maggie's 3rd party! It's a Pinkalicious theme! Maggie loves the Pinkalicious books and of course her favorite color is pink, so I thought this theme would be prefect.

We took some pictures today to put on the invitation so we can get that sent out. I'll post the invite soon!

I also started working on the pink topiary. It's pretty easy, but it takes some time to do. Here are some pictures of the process.

Coloring eggs

On Sunday, while I worked on Maggie's scrapbook, Maggie colored Easter eggs with Grandma and Papa Steinmetz. She was asking for days to go to their house and as soon as we woke up, she couldn't wait to go over there. She wouldn't let them do anything else until they colored the eggs!! She had a lot of fun.

Hunger Games

So, being the big nerd I am, I saw Hunger Games at Midnight on Thursday/Friday. And Maggie must have known how excited I was to see it, so she was asking for me to braid her hair every day this week. The best is this one:

6 months have passed

Really?! 6 months since I have blogged about the best little girl ever?! Well, I suck..
Anyway... here are some things my little sweetie has been up to:

Not only can she recognize the beginning sound or words, she has been practicing writing her letters too! She is really doing well. The letters that she can write with no problem are capitals E, F, H, I, L, M, O, Q, T, and X. She can sort of write A, N, V, and W. Her R looks like a stick figure :) I'll post a picture of that soon!

She is really into rhyming. Pretty much every night when we go to bed, she wants to list a bunch of words that rhyme. It's pretty cute.

We are planning a "Pinkalicious" party! So, I'll be busy with that for the next few weeks :)
