More cute stuff

Yesterday, while Maggie was taking a bath with Ethan, she looked at his back and touched it and said "I like your back Ethan, it's pretty." Then she said the same thing about his hair and his arm!

This morning when she woke up, she touched my hair and said "Mommy beautiful," :-D

Yesterday when we were driving, we were going over our colors in Spanish. She knew red, white, and blue. Then I asked her about green and she said "not Morado, Verde." Then she knew purple was Morado.

Finally, I forgot that for awhile now, when I ask her who the president is, she says "Obama!" and now she knows the vice president is Joe Biden.

Maggie's talking

Some other things Maggie has been saying...

When she sees Ethan in the morning, its very likely for her to say "Morning Ethan", "How you doing Ethan?"

We went to a play place called Little Monkey Bizness today. I pointed out another little girl who was wearing a pair of pants that Maggie had at home. I said "Look Maggie, that little girl has the same pants as you!" Maggie then looked at the little girl and said "Maggie gave those to you" I thought that was so funny.

New clothes

Maggie & Mommy went shopping and bought this adorable coat, but Daddy's friends gave her the beautiful hat without even looking at the coat. They match perfectly & she looks SUPER cute in them!

She really is getting big...

Maggie is getting so big. In addition to growing and looking older all the time, she is saying more and more!
She has been saying some really cute stuff...

The other night when she was laying in bed, ready to go to sleep, she was playing with her new Twilight Lady Bug. It lights up stars all over the room. Here's what Maggie said "Mmmmmm... eating stars... Want some more!"

A few days ago, Maggie was taking a bath. We were naming all of the foam letters and numbers. She picked up the 6 and said "nine!" I said, "no, that's a six." Maggie responded with "Where'd the nine go?!"

We're also learning colors in Spanish. One morning she pointed to her white paci and said "Blanco!" The next morning she pointed to my IPod case (which is green) and said "Verde!" And yesterday we were naming letters on the fridge, she pointed to a red O and said O, I asked her what color in Spanish and she said "Rojo!" She wants to call everything else morado, so I guess here favorite color is purple :)

She also likes to say the following phrases all the time:
"I wanna play a game"
"I want some juice"
"Mama help you" (she means "help me" though)
"Up with Mommy/Daddy"
"Go Bears!"
"Where'd daddy go?"

She still repeats anything and everything we say!

We can't believe it's 2011! We have been VERY busy since my last post.

We spent all day on Christmas Eve at Grandma & Grandpa Steinmetz's house. We had Christmas with them in the morning, Maggie got a lot of pretty clothes, some fun toys, and a new kitchen! Her favorite gift was a pet monkey that she could feed with a bottle. She wouldn't go anywhere without that monkey! She didn't sleep or eat very well after breakfast because of all the excitement. In the evening, the whole Murphy family came over and celebrated Christmas together and Maggie got a gift card to Build-A-Bear workshop and a Lady Bug Pillow Pet!

On Christmas morning, we woke up and opened stockings with Aunt Tonia and Ethan. They got a lot of fun stuff! They ate cinnamon rolls at their new table then opened a lot more presents downstairs. They seemed to be more interested in each others presents than their own.




Then we got ready and drove down to Aunt Dani's house to celebrate Christmas with Mommy's family. We had a lot of good food! Grandma & Grandpa Miller bought Maggie a Zhu Zhu pet, a puppy with a blanket, and a puppy in a purse! Uncle Jason & Aunt Kim gave Maggie a Violet Leapfrog puppy.

Then for our final celebration, we had Sismas on the 29th. Aunt Natalie was here so Aunt Dani's family came up to celebrate our special celebration on what would be Grandma Sue's 55th birthday. Maggie got an outfit, pjs & a robe, a puzzle, a magna doodle, and a walking cat! Aunt Natalie made all of the kids blankets, which they really love. Maggie's blanket has cupcakes, how perfect!!
